The challenge

Conveying desalinated water over approximately 360 km requires coordinated pumping, storage and tie-in facilities. The H&I Phase 2 project combines twin 88-inch transmission pipelines with three large pumping stations and extensive tank farms.

Our contribution

Pipelab’s station-lot scope covers process and mechanical final design, with civil engineering delivered through a subcontracted discipline. The design addresses pumping arrangements, station piping and integration with existing supply and storage infrastructure.

Engineering outcome

The design supports the expansion of the Ras Al Khair–Riyadh water corridor, with two lines each designed for 600,000 m³/day. Integration provisions connect new facilities with existing HPT1 assets and future network interfaces.
