The challenge

The Jubail–Buraydah corridor links eastern water sources with central Saudi Arabia. Its long transmission route, reservoir connections and future branch interfaces require consideration of operating changes and reverse-flow arrangements.

Our contribution

Pipelab’s scope is the transient hydraulic study for bid design. The overall project comprises a 585 km pipeline with diameters from 72 to 96 inches, connections to Rafiah and Asiaah, and provisions for future supply points.

Engineering outcome

The study supports the bid-stage assessment of hydraulic behaviour and the engineering basis for a long-distance supply corridor with planned operating flexibility.
